[...] The new episode of Galacticast (now officially the one I “instantly produced“) is up this morning, and it’s a doozy, a funny mashup of Super Mario Bros and The Sopranos. Since I helped launch The Sopranos mobile content for HBO, I especially dig being connected to this one. If you don’t love this, well, something’s just not right with you. Special thanks to Casey and Rudy for being cool and offering for me put a plug in for our new network (PulpSecret, launching March . Now I throw the gauntlet to the rest of you: who is going to get them that lunch with Robert Rodriguez in Austin this weekend? We’ll be there and Rae has some tenuous hometown connections to him we might be able to put into play — don’t make me show you all up again. [...]
I really liked this episode. I love the “behind the scenes” kind of stuff that shows us the real side of superheroes etc at home… Someday i will play peter parker in a galacticast episode. The scene of Mario squashing the hammer brothers reminded me of last nights Black Donneley’s episode… gross.
Super episode. Your effects continue to improve in ways that touch me in places i don’t speak of in comment boards.’ flawless show and i especially loved the reference to the princess always being in some other castle. that shit pisses me off still today.
also. loved casey’s submission to the air guitar rock off. the rock gods were appeased i’m sure.
Josh- YES! You would make an awesome Peter Parker… I hope we can do that someday. Or, actually, if we got you and Andrew Congdon together you could be Eddie Brock and he could be Peter Parker
Salty Horse- The official name of our recurring annoying old lady (and Spook Racer) is Minnie Castevet. She first made an appearance in Rudy’s Baby (and she is OUR TAKE on the old Satanist character of the same name in Rosemary’s Baby).
I thought this was fabulous guys. I want a Sonic ringtone for my phone as well. ;3 The end was absolutely classic! I love whenever Casey uses that voice, and Rudy’s Italian accent definitely made me giggle.
First of all Rudy, it’s “extra man” not extra life”, and second of all, Mario’s main squeeze is Princess Peach.
Princess Daisy only appeared in the original Game Boy’s Super Mario Land as a potential romantic interest- but even then it’s not considered canonical by Mario standards as the game wasn’t developped exclusively by Shigeru Miyamoto.
What happened to the Rudy who played these games??
Ciao picciotti, real funny episode, I love Mario Bros. Rudy, for you there will be always a place in my italian “family”, capisci ?
P.S. The “galactifan” t-shirt is just arrived, now I can proudly say “Yes, I’m the first official italian galactifan”. Don Mario Mario, baciamo le mani.

[...] The Sopranos, as seen in Nintendo Power [...]
Live action Mario, very good job! Too bad you couldn’t have got Bob Hoskins or John Leguizamo to do a cameo from when they played Mario and Luigi in, Super Mario Bros., in 1993.
Oh, Casey, how many takes did you need while smacking Rudy upside the head? hehe
