Galacticast is for kids too!!!
In response to Zadi’s Twitter:
JETSET is not for freakin’ kids people. Get it straight. Cereal commercials?? You DON’T want to piss me off.
Well, it looks like Galacticast IS for freakin’ kids… and we’re frakkin’ proud of it too!
The above video was sent to us by supreme GalactiFan Rainlin and her exceptional mother KityKity! Thanks, girls!
Now… let’s watch those cereal sponsorships roll in… LOL

Your blog post seems to interpret Zadi’s twitter in a way that makes it seem that we are being ungrateful of our audience in some way.
Nothing could be further from the truth. We’re are very grateful for the audience we have and we call them out and involve them in every single show we do. And we know that lots of young people watch JETSET and we’re glad to have them, too.
But it’s a problem when you make a show for young adults and a prominent blogger calls it a kiddie show. We’ve worked hard to transform the show into what it is right now and build the “JETSET” brand. So after all the months of refining our format and finally finding an audience, older teens and people in their early 20′s who have never seen the show but who might like it could be turned off by hearing or reading that it’s for kids.
We regularly get emails and comments from people who just watched JETSET for the first time and say they never realized that it wasn’t just for little kids, since that’s what they’d heard or read.
If someone with millions of readers called Galacticast a puppet show because you had a couple of shows with puppets a year ago, you might be miffed, too.
Hey Steve- We were just being playful with you… We all know JETSET’s target audience, and I’m sure that (done right) a cereal company could still be a great advertiser for anyone… even if they do violet Muppet movies
Hey Casey and Crew–
First off, thanks so much for sharing this video! As I’m sure you can tell, it was a re-enactment, but when she originally did it I about CRACKED UP laughing, and asked her to do it again so I could film it.
And as an overview, as a parent, I think I can add something to this conversation. You can try to gear your show towards an age group, like JetSet, or try to not-really gague your show for kidlets, like Galacticast, but it’s ultimately up to the *parents* what their kids watch. Galacticast, though I love the show, is NOT geared towards children, (language etc.) but I watch it with my kids and make sure they understand what’s going on. JetSet, while some smaller kids may be freaked out by its speed, is again another one that my kids watch, because I watch it with them.
So while arguments can be said to either side of what you gear your respective content to, as I’m sure we can all agree in the end it’s up to the *parents* what their kids will watch, and that’s their resonsibility.
Thanks, to both camps, for the incredible content that you both put out! Catch you on the vlog side…
Suzy
“For Kids” Finaly somthing I can allow my pet goat to watch.
I belive Lowest Common Denominator is the best format to hook the largest audiance.
Susan hit the nail square on with the parent stuff. To a certain age you must chose for your children until they can figure out what is best on thier own. Say by the age of 40 or so…
Casey “violet Muppet movies?” Is that like those old blue movies but with puppets? What ever floats your boat.
Hey Casey!
Holy crap that is awesome! It’s always rewarding to get a video response of a fan, especially from a kid! Kudos to you
Oh, and GET SOME SLEEP!
