Congrats Casey on your first Galacticast… fabutastique! Like the background layer… are you using final cut pro?

BornToFrag- Ms. Galactica actually sounds like a cool name to me! Thanks for your compliments… I was a little embarassed with this first episode because after filming we realized how bad the lighting was on the foreground (ie. me). We’re buying another light kit today, so the quality will be getting better and better.
Dave- I’m glad you approve of my editorial changes… I already have a friend who’s upset that I bumped Star Wars down to #9…
crout- Thanks man! We’re still working on the greenscreen, don’t have it perfect yet. No, I’m not using Final Cut Pro.
Thanks Casey & Rudy I enjoyed the glacticast-news of the world. A bit curious as to why “Serenity” didn’t feature in your list of best SciFi. I can’t imagine you missed the whole Josh Whedon Firefly/Serenity saga. We ‘Brown Coats’ are expecting your support, I am sure you’ll hear from more of us soon. After all the Serenity/Firefly TV series humour is so Kitka : ) On the Raggedy edge, Joey. —— P.S. if you missed Firefly its never too late, start here. http://www.fireflywiki.org/Firefly/HomePage

Fun show.
It didn’t play on either iTunes or my iPod though. And the lighting on Casey is a bit flat — would be nice to see your expressions better. Also, there’s a bit of echo in the room. All stuff that if changed would make it more enjoyable
Joey – Don’t worry about the Firefly love. As Casey already told you, I am in love with it all. I hope she told you about Adam Baldwin and me.
Enric – Thanks for the notes. Like Casey said, we have another light kit, we are buying some microphones, and we are looking into the iTunes issues. *sigh* all in the quest to become new media stars
Casey, You keep it up! Miss the vibrator though, I have one for your Top 10 Sci phi list, Silent Running with Bruce Dern. Slip it in Baby, 2#4

I would like you offer my video Escape for the sci-fi contest free for all, you can download it from my site.. Oh hope I win!! June 2nd is my birthday. Also Casey, they stopped making wispas years ago, I found one but you wouldn’t want to consume it, will a mint aero do? See you in June.
Hi! Thanks for the hard work. The show looks great, and I mostly agree with your choice of top-ten movies (Logans Run #1 Yayy!!), ALIEN, especially the directors cut of Alien, SUCKS ASS. ALIENS (James Cameron) is much better. And did I hear you right – have you not seen the remake of Solaris? You should watch it – it’s actually pretty good.
I hope you continue your show. I would love to see more coverage on the new Battlestar Galactica. This is THE best show on TV. I wouldn’t mind some dirt on the remake of Logans Run (directed by Brian Singer) either..!
Usually, Ms. Kit…er, Casey, I’m completely on board with your opinions, but I can’t fathom your re-write of the list of Best Sci-Fi movies (though, to be fair, I can’t fathom a lot of the choices on the ORIGINAL list, either). “Logan’s Run”? Is that some sort of ironically hip, kitschy choice? Is there a Canadian cut that is far better than the one I saw (which would have to involve replacing the entire original footage with something…good)?
“Alien” may not belong on the list of “Best Sci-Fi Movies,” since it is more of a horror movie. And as such, one of the top five ever made in that genre. “Aliens” is more of an action flick – a very good one, with serious thrills. But nothing can ever substitute for Ridley Scott’s evocation of steadily creeping dread in the original “Alien.” It is a masterpiece.
Keep up the good work, guys. Looking forward to new ‘casts. Soon.

[...] News of the Worlds: Knight Rider remake; video reply for a persistent browncoat; Adam Baldwin in Toronto (thanks Chris!). [...]
Great first show! This is actually the first vidcast I’ve subscribed to. I know, get with the program right?
Anyway, I’m psyched to see more (and so is Harvey)!
A few thoughts: In a previous incarnation (circa 1969) I use to work at the old Record Cave on St. Catherine’s. It was located here: http://tinyurl.com/pyyjc.
Movies that I’d add to the list:
Invaders from Mars (1953)
Contact (1997)
Metropolis (1926)
Forbidden Planet (1956)
finally…at Last!
It looks pretty good i’d say it’s worth waiting almost a month
so…what do we call you now?
Ms. Galactica?
Great first show!! Excellent work re-doing the movie list. Have you seen the Sci-Fi Channel’s version of Dune? It was great!

“I am not a number; I am a free man !!”
Nice job Casey!
And good pick with Logan’s Run. (I would say Alien might be the best horror-sci-fi flick ever.)
This is soo different from the show you produce now!
I used to have Logan’s Run on…. LASERDISC! The most futuristic format possible!
Happy Birthday GALACTICAST! Logan’s Run was teh Bomb!
