  1. bravo! bravo! although there was a noticeable lack of bald kevin spacey, maybe he was getting a nice scalp massage.

  2. Casey/Rudy– You are comic gods. We worship at your altar.

Seriously, great work! Superman IS a dick.

    - Jeff, August 7th, 2006
  3. Okay…maybe I’m biased, but that was some of the funniest stuff I have ever seen.

I LOVED the ringtone on Supes’ cell phone!

Seriously, I appeared strange to my coworkers because I was trying to hold in the laughter. Great job Casey and Rudy!

And thanks for the directing cred. You both are too sweet!

  4. OMG, I totally freaked my coworkers out cuz I didn’t hold in the laughter. Gut wrenching, hysterical laughter….

You guys did an awesome job on this piece! I can’t wait to work on more projects with you all! :D

    - Kelli, August 7th, 2006
  5. haha “How could that not work?! I worked before!”

    - David Meade, August 7th, 2006
  6. Hey! It’s the jerk Superman from Superman III! Which, of course… never… happened… Head hurts. ;)

Loved Clark doing the “you’re breaking up” noise. Oh, and the closing credits style, too.

    - Doug A Scott, August 7th, 2006
  7. Superman’s a dick… AND a deadbeat! Yet I still can’t help but love him… that… that THEME SONG! It’s IRRESISTIBLE!

    Credits were SUUUUUUPER.

Good thing I have a closing door on my office… or you guys would totally get me in trouble.

    - Dave, August 7th, 2006
  8. LOL, fookin’ ACE (:

  10. What about superman three and four

Three was the best movie and everyone knows it.

  11. Hi Guys,

Another funny sketch lol. I like how you made fun of the superman kiss mind wipe thing because when I seen that for the first time in the movie I think I was like 10 or something and still thought it was dumb as hell. I wonder what you guys thought was worse, that or the turning back time by reversing the earths rotation. Where the feck do they come up with these dumbass plot lines somtimes. I just dunno.

How did Rudy shave his stubble off if he is superman. Wouldn’t the razor break? Oh wait hes just playing superman. Now I get it.

Note to self: “Steven, everything on the internet isn’t always real life, even if it should be”

  12. Casey, Rudy,

Another hit spot on!!! You guys are great!

    - Leonardo, August 8th, 2006
  13. Cool, I didn’t know all of this. Now Superman Returns makes sense!!!

    - Lan Bui, August 8th, 2006
  14. Could’nt find the time to go see the film so thanks a lot !
Best funny part : SuperDick putting his glasses to answer as Clark ! and the sound of his glasses when he threw them cos we distinctly hear a floor…
Casey : nice work with the dress…

    - jeanphi, August 8th, 2006
  15. Steven – I think the kiss is much, much worse. I mean…if you really think about it, Supes’ COULD potentially fly around so fast as to turn the world back on its axis, however, I would think it would cause massive global destruction, not time travel. I’m not sure though, since I’ve never tried it. If I get some time next week maybe…

Upon watching it again, I went into a fit of laughter once more when I noticed Casey cradling her unborn child at the very beginning of the piece…nice…

  16. I never knew Superman had such a fancy cell phone plus you gotta love that ringtone, seriously.

Great work again, it was a lot of fun to watch. I Can’t wait for next monday. :)

  17. Jeff- Thanks man, Rudy’s a big fan of G14 so it goes both ways… and from what I hear you and I have something in common: we both cry like babies when watching Battlestar Galactica. You’re my new best friend…

Kelli- Can’t wait to meet y’all! I love collaborations because it takes a little weight off… I look forward to working more with you guys too!

JeanPhi- Thanks! I wish I had more opportunities to dress up nice like that… Rudy and I were thinking of going out to a nice restaurant after filming, but we only finished after 9pm so we ordered fajitas instead!

Matthew- Hehehe… I thought it was an important gesture ;)

    - Casey, August 8th, 2006
  18. PS: A few of you are mentioning Superman’s rington… but can any of you name that tune?

    - Casey, August 8th, 2006
  19. OMG! Superman IS a dick! I’m not even going to say he’s cute! Nope, not going to do it. Not gonna! Not this week! He doesn’t deserve it! He needs to get home and take care of his baby!

(Sidebar: The haircut looks nice though)

Wouldn’t it have been great if Lois was actually a superhero herself and found out the Superman was a dick and turned herself into Superman’s mistress and just as they are about to make out, Lois turns back into Lois, MWA HA HA HA HA! That would be awesome!

Great episode! Did you have to get Rudy up on wires?

    - Andy Melton, August 8th, 2006
  20. Hey, I find the part where superman uses a handphone while flying extremely hilarious. Gd job. ^_*

    - Spluch, August 9th, 2006
  21. I am stumped. The ringtone sounds real familiar somehow but I just can’t think. Post the full tune on the site please. Unless that would be illegal lol.

    Steven

    - Steven, August 9th, 2006
  22. Steven- Sorry dude, I think it’s better to leave you to see if you can figure out the ringtone with that one clue. However, it may help to rewatch previous Galacticast episodes ;)

    - Casey, August 9th, 2006
  23. Ooo! I know the name of the song and the band, but I’m not going to tell anyone because you’ll say that I only know it because I wrote the piece. But I’ll give you a hint…

    The song is called “Superman”.

Hahahaa!! No, really, that’s what it’s called. But what’s the REST of the title in parenthesis? The band has a number in it’s name.

    Matthew

  24. Rock on!!! I know that I’m late for delivering kudos, but Hey… I’m a slacker.

I love II.V… The humour, the high production values, the acting… It’s all great stuff. Thanks.

I have found the way that you guys parody SuperSchmuck in GC has been high-sterical. The fact that this ethereal, untouchable, christ-like figure is being brought into a little reality by you guys makes me giggle like a little school girl every time you put one out… not a school girl familiar with korean martial arts, mind you.

    - Brad P. from NJ, August 9th, 2006
  25. Thanks for the kind words everyone.

But I have to deflect a good deal of the praise to Matt from g14.

His brilliant script was at the heart of this project. Plus he saved us the hardest part of making a show … thinking.

Bizzaro Rudy think good! Bizarro Rudy hate Matt! Hello!

    - Rudy, August 9th, 2006
  26. Five For Fighting – Superman

    I canít stand to fly
    Iím not that naive
    Iím just out to find
    The better part of me

Iím more than a bird…iím more than a plane
More than some pretty face beside a train
Itís not easy to be me

lol I have this song. Since I heard it in smallville lol.

  27. Thanks Rudy! If you all have a minute after laughing like crazy at Galacticast, you should check out g14productions.com. We’re not a video blog, oh no, we make you work for the good stuff! We’re just not as nice as Rudy and Casey. We are pretty funny though, and in a similar vein. Visit and say hi! End shameless plug.

Now…what’s the rest of the Five for Fighting song title? And let’s heap more praise on Rudy and Casey! By Rudy’s own admission, it means you like me too! HAHA!

  28. Oh man, I’m cracking up! Yes, the cell phone ring–that was classic!

    - Susan, August 11th, 2006

  32. I think Clark’s ringtone should be Remy Zero’s Save Me from the WB series. :)

Love the flyaway at the end. And love the Super-splooge leaving dents in the floor and drywall. Ha!

    - Steve Woolf, April 10th, 2007
  33. This ep. kind of left me flat…I got a big Dejavu feeling watching this one. How ever I still laughed a little on the inside at a few bits, just not those side hurting belly laughs that normaly take place. I must be in a negative mood today. “I’m not bringing you down I’m I? I could just go over to a corner and rust if you like.”

    - Bladehoonslayer, April 10th, 2007
  34. Bladehoonslayer- Of course it feels like Dejavu, this is an episode from August 2006. We really needed a break this week to get ahead. Like it says on the front page, though, new episode coming next Monday!

    - Casey, April 10th, 2007
  35. hi nice site.
